August 2016 Meeting

The SCCC had its quarterly meeting on August 20. Beyond social time, we had two informal presentations.

Adnan talked about his project for his conlang named Coina. It has a simple grammar similar to Latino Sine Flexione, and the vocabulary is drawn from Latin, Greek, and Sanskrit. He’s at the beginning stages at this time. Here’s a preliminary example:

Holo homın ḡaıa eleυther et gaυraυè dıcaıomatè ıso.
Eà’ υıυec et syneıdesı he dona;
Caı debe ın pneυmat concordıa υıaυahara.

Jeffrey spoke about his project, Beltös. He has been working on it since December, but it is still a long way from completion. The grammar is in flux, and the lexicon needs more words. The phonology is pretty well complete; a sample text is included here:

Our next meeting will be sometime in November or December 2016, probably on a Saturday, but not in a week when it would conflict with the holidays.
